The RAK Diabetes Challenge 2025

This is a challenge for all diabetics, & has value for pre-diabetics, known diabetics, & those who are on, & not on medication. However, participating individuals with HbA1C of 5.7 and above only, at the time of enrollment will be considered for the prizes. Nevertheless, all participants irrespective of their HbA1C, at the time of enrolment, will be entitled to participate in the challenge & receive weekly health tips & participate in the weekly webinars.

Categories

The criteria for judging the winners, will be based on positive lifestyle change, reduced BMI, and reduced HbA1C. Judges will evaluate lifestyle based on lifestyle documentation at the start & end of the challenge.

Categories: Male & Female will form separate categories as follows.

• Community Diabetes Challenge This category is aimed at individuals who have an FBS above 130, RBS above 200 and HbA1C above 5.7 but to qualify for an award/ prize the participant must specifically submit weight/ BMI / HbA1C reports taken at 1st and final days of the challenge certified clinic or hospital letterhead or stamped. All persons who register, however will receive through e-mail health tips and weekly seminars on diabetes management.
• Hospital OP, Diabetes Challenge Hospitals who provide us with their OP list of Diabetes patients, with FBS above 130, RBS above 200, HbA1C above 5.7, will be registered as sponsors for this event. Weekly Health Tips & weekly webinars invites will be sent to the hospital or to the patient as required by the hospital patients who undertake the HbA1C at the start and finish of the challenge will be considered for awards prices.
• Clinic Diabetes Challenge Clinics who provide us with their list of Diabetes patients, with FBS above 130, RBS above 200, HbA1C above 5.7, will be registered as sponsors for this event. Weekly Health Tips & weekly webinars invites will be sent to the hospital or to the patient as required by the hospital patients who undertake the HbA1C at the start and finish of the challenge will be considered for awards prices.
• Corporate Employees Diabetes Challenge We will be happy to work with corporates who wish to associate their employees who have Diabetes with this challenge. We could send our health tips and seminar details to the corporation or directly to the employee as advised by the corporation. Employees wishing to win awards will be required to register directly in Community Diabetes Challenge Category and undergo HbA1C list in the corporate clinic or any other clinic duly certified.
