The original RAK diabetes challenge was launched in the UAE into 2023. The event is now conducted annually and details regarding the event can be seen on the following website.
In 2024, the event had over 5000 participants and those who completed the three-month challenge, on an average reduce their HBA1C from above 7.5 to 5.3 and also lost 3 to 5 kgs.
This year it was decided to extend the event outside the UAE. In India we have over 100 million diabetics. In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, 8 to 10% of the adult population has diabetes
Community Diabetes Challenge
Any adult above the age of 18 with a Fasting Blood Sugar above 130, Random Blood Sugar above 200, HbA1C above 5.7 is eligible to register by attaching the clinic / hospital, blood sugar details, as part of the registration, to receive weekly health tips and weekly webinar invitations.
Hospital OP, Diabetes Challenge
Hospitals wishing to provide their diabetic patients with diabetes education (i.e. Weekly health tips and weekly seminars) may connect with us.
Clinics Diabetes Challenge
Clinics wishing to provide their diabetic patients with diabetes education (i.e. Weekly health tips and weekly seminars) may connect with us.
Corporate Diabetes Challenge
Corporates wishing to provide their employees who have diabetes with diabetes education (i.e. weekly health tips weekly seminar etc ) may provide us the e-mail list of such employees.
Prizes And Awards
Only those individuals whose registration forms are completed indicating weight & HbA1C blood report etc. at the start and end of the challenge will be eligible for prizes and awards
Registration
Participants in the community category may register directly
Individuals who have undergone diabetes test in hospital, clinics and corporates, will automatically be registered under these entities
Hospital, clinic and corporate individuals who wish to be eligible for prizes and awards in the Community Category are required to register independently in the community categories
